The engagement

What an engagement looks like.

A structured, time-bound advisory engagement — from first conversation to final walkthrough. Everything is designed to get the right analysis in front of the right people before the decisions that matter get made.

How it works

Four phases. One week.

Every engagement follows the same structure. Not because it's a template — because the structure is what makes the output reliable.

Phase 01 · Day 1
Kick-off

A focused session to frame the deal — the strategic rationale, the areas of concern, and the questions that most need answering. More than a data-gathering exercise — it's a conversation between people who understand what's at stake.

You bring what you know — and what keeps you up at night about this one. We bring an initial read of the deal context.

Our role: We lead the session and build the analytical frame the engine works from. The questions we ask here shape everything that follows.
Phase 02 · Days 2–3
Document intake & survey

Deal documents are submitted through the secure client portal — IM, CIM, financial model, management presentations, whatever is available at this stage of the process. The engine extracts and structures the analytical signals across the deal.

Where key information is absent or ambiguous, a short targeted survey is generated — typically 8–10 questions — to fill the gaps before analysis begins. We review the intake before analysis begins.

Our role: We review the document set and survey responses, and flag anything that warrants closer attention before analysis begins.
Phase 03 · Days 3–4
Analysis

The engine analyses the deal across 16 domains — strategy alignment, talent, technology, governance, synergies, and more — drawing on 147 integration patterns and 34 sourced benchmarks. Risks are classified by severity. Decisions are surfaced. Workstreams are mapped.

This is where the depth comes from. The engine does in hours what would otherwise take weeks of consulting resource — and does it with a consistency no team can match.

Our role: Active throughout. Reviews interim outputs, pressure-tests the engine's conclusions against our own read of the deal, and resolves any judgement calls before the report is drafted. The final output reflects both the analytical rigour of the engine and the advisor's judgement behind it.
Phase 04 · Day 5
Report & walkthrough

Two reports are produced: a board-level integration assessment and a management execution blueprint. Both are delivered through the secure client portal, with a structured walkthrough to go through the findings, answer questions, and agree next steps.

The walkthrough is a working session. We take you through what the analysis found, why it matters, and what you should do about it.

Our role: We lead the walkthrough and remain available for follow-up questions after delivery.

What you receive

Two reports. One for the board. One for the team.

Typically delivered within 5 working days of kick-off, subject to document availability and survey completion. Both arrive through the secure client portal, ready to use.
